Saints Peter and Paul Parish answers the call of Jesus Christ to be fully alive in the faith and to imitate His life. Just as Jesus gave us the example of service in His own life; we understand that we are called to serve him, by serving one another.
In various ministries of the Church with our time, talent, and resources of all kinds, we live our Catholic faith. Whether putting a little extra touch on the meal prepared for our family, fixing a little extra food for the bereaved family or ill neighbor, helping someone fix a flat tire, teaching religious education classes or whatever we do that benefits another, we do for what He wants and in return we are blessed beyond measure. God cannot be outdone in generosity.
God has given special gifts and natural abilities to each of us- to build his kingdom on earth, and to carry out the message of the gospel. “You are the light of the world. Your light must shine before men so that they may see goodness in your acts and give praise to your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16) Sts. Peter and Paul parishioners do indeed let their light shine.
