Prayer Warriors:
This powerful ministry requires dedication to prayer for the needs of others and their special intentions. A phone tree, e-mail or letter are the means of contact to the prayer warrior with prayer requests. Many prayers have been answered as a result of the dedicated prayers of this group.
Eucharistic Adoration: Adoration of Jesus in the Adoration Chapel is at the heart of life at Saints Peter and Paul Parish. Adorers commit to one scheduled hour a week before the Blessed Sacrament. This is a wonderful way to grow in our faith and devotion to our Lord. This is a special time to read spiritual literature, pray for family or others, pray the rosary and/or just talk to Jesus - a perfect time to share our lives and thoughts with Him. You might even try an hour temporarily to see if this means of prayer is what you can do on a more permanent basis.
Legion of Mary:
The Sts. Peter and Paul Legion of Mary meets each Monday at 11:00am in Mary’s Room, just west of BigMac. In addition to this meeting, the members spend two hours each week in active work, i.e. visits to shut-ins at home, nursing homes or hospitals; evangelization by teaching and helping others to know the faith, to pray the rosary before Masses, spend time in adoration, help at funerals, distribute religious articles and sponsor the yearly Global Rosary. One can also become an auxiliary member of the Legion by praying the rosary and Legion prayers daily.
The Fatima Family Apostolate:
This organization was formed in 2005, and its purpose is to encourage prayer and study time for all families which includes mothers, fathers, children, grandparents and other family members. Our Blessed Mother asks us to pray the rosary and offer our sufferings and sacrifices for peace in our hearts, in our homes and in the world. “Families that pray together, stay together.” This group presently meets at a Holy Hour in the Adoration Chapel every Wednesday from 10:00am to 11:00am to pray for the end to abortion, peace in the world, for our Holy Father, all priests, the Poor Souls and many other intentions.
