The Fatima Family Apostolate, St. Monica's Prayer Group, Legion of Mary, Prayer Warriors, Eucharistic Adoration, Sts Peter and Paul Study Group


  • The Fatima Family Apostolate was introduced to Saints Peter and Paul Parish in 2005. This is a prayer and study time for all families and includes mothers, fathers, children, grandparents, and other family members.

    Our Blessed Mother asks us to pray the rosary and to offer our sufferings and sacrifices for world peace, peace in our homes, peace in our hearts, and the entire world.

    Families that pray together, stay together. We encourage you to become an active part of this group. Please call the parish office for information on how to get involved.

  • St. Monica's Prayer Group: This spiritual group meets once a month to pray for family members and fi-iends who have fallen away from the Catholic Church. The church bulletin will post meeting times.

  • Legion of Mary:
    Members of the Legion of Mary assist with Masses, lead the rosary, and take Holy Communion to those in nursing homes. In addition, they visit hospital patients and care for the homebound and spread devotion to the rosary.

    Auxiliary members are praying members, who are lillable to assume the duties of active membership and pray a particular set of daily prayers including the rosary

  • Prayer Warriors: This powerful ministry requires dedication to prayer. Prayer Warriors receive a list of prayer requests four times a year. Members pray for the needs of others and special intentions. Many prayers have been answered as a result of the dedicated prayers of this group.

  • Eucharistic Adoration: Adoration of Jesus in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist is at the heart of the life at Saints Peter and Paul Parish.

    Those involved participate in the important work of intercessory prayer as they pray for others and for special intentions. Adorers commit to one scheduled hour a week before the Blessed Sacrament.

  • Saints Peter and Paul Study Group:
    This is an adult study group based on apologetics and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Study Group meets twice a month and consists of prayer, a video on the Catechism by Fr. John Corapi, S.O.L. T., S. T.D., followed by discussion. Check the church bulletin for times & location.

  • Saints Peter and Paul School:
    Our parish school is one of the very important missions of Saints Peter and Paul Parish. There are many opportunities to volunteer at the school. Please call the school office at 303-424-0402 for more information.

  • Church Library:
    We have a good collection of spiritual and theological books in our parish library located III Little Mac. Volunteers are needed to:
    Organize and shelve the books. Perform minor repairs on the books. Staff the Library when it is open.

    Respect Life, Christmas Baskets, Sack Lunch Program




  • Respect Life:
    Those involved with this very important a timely work help promote the Church's teachings with regard to the sanctity of all human life. Volunteers commit to:
    Write letters and circulate petitions to present to our elected representatives and senators.
    Pray the rosary.

  • Christmas Baskets:
    During the Christmas season special baskets are given to members of our parish CO11llllunity who are experiencing financial difficulty. Volunteers are needed to:
    Gather, sort, and assemble food donations into baskets. Deliver assembled baskets to their destination.

  • Sack Lunch Program:
    This program is supported by many parishes in the Archdiocese. Three times a year we provide lunches
    To those in need. Lunch sacks are given out the Sunday prior to Lunch Sack Sunday with the request that they be filled with sandwiches, cookies, and fruit. Lunches are collected the following Sunday before Mass for distribution that afternoon.
    Volunteers are needed to help collect the sack lunches and deliver them to their destination.
    The church bulletin reminds parishioners of Saints Peter and Paul assigned Sundays.

    "Approximately 50 shut-ins are adopted and visited weekly by Eucharistic ministers who take them our Lord in Holy Communion and a parish bulletin to keep them in touch with the pari,sh family. Approximately 60 residents at Sandalwood Manor and the Christopher House receive Communion weekly from the Legion of Mary Eucharistic ministers. The outreach to the elderly and the sick of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish continues with approximately 100 persons receiving our Lord in Holy Communion."

  • Parish Family Life

    Welcoming Committee, Women's Guild, Special Events/Hospitality, Sunday Mass Child Care, Meet-N-Eat Breakfast, Lenten Soup Suppers, MOMS

  • Welcoming Committee:
    Upon joining the family of Saints Peter and Paul Church, new parishioners receive a welcome packet and an invitation to a free breakfast.
    Volunteers are needed to address and mail invitations to the Meet~N-Eat breakfast.
    Assist the committee chair at the Meet-N-Eat breakfast when needed.

  • Women's Guild:
    The Women's Guild is an organization that promotes and encourages spiritual and social growth to the women of Saints Peter and Paul Parish. Membership is open to registered ladies of the parish, including young ladies who have entered the 7th. grade and up, and to mothers of Saints Peter and Paul School children. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month unless otherwise noted in the bulletin. Committees within the guild sponsor many outreach programs as well as spiritual and social events to include:
    Care and Share
    Annual religious goods sale
    Christmas Giving Tree benefiting local charities. Hosting of an annual mini-retreat and Day of Reflection

  • Parish Special Events:
    Hospitality

    The ministry of hospitality plans and hosts celebrations for the parish community; in particular the annual Parish Festival.
    Volunteers are needed for:
    Logistical planning. Administrative planning.
    Set up and cleanup.
    Food and beverage serving. Table busing.
    Games and entertainment.
    Check the church bulletin to find out when extra help is needed.

  • Sunday Mass Child Care:
    Thanks to the generosity of some of our parishioners, we are
    able to offer childcare for the 9:00 a.m. Mass. Duties and requirements are as follows:
    Love children and love to play. Minimum of a once-a-month commitment.
    Please contact the parish office for details on how to help.
    For the protection of our children, all volunteers will be screened for suitability to work with minors according to Archdiocesan guidelines.
    Fourth Sunday Coffee and Donuts:
    Free coffee and donuts are served after the 7:00, 9:00, and
    11:00 a.m. Masses on the fourth Sunday of each month. Volunteers are always needed to help with preparation and serving. This is a great way to become involved if your time is limited.

  • Meet-N-Eat Breakfast:
    Breakfast is served on the second Sunday each month
    September through May. This ministry is open to men and women who would like to share their time and talent to help with the preparation and serving. There are many ways in which you can help. Everything from setting up for service to washing dishes and cleaning up afterwards. Please let us know if you could give a hand in this ministry.

  • Lenten Soup Suppers:
    Members of the Familia Women's group and members of the Care and Share Ministry of the Women's Guild prepare a soup supper which is served before the Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent.
    If you are not a member of either of these groups but would like to lend a helping hand, please call the Director of Volunteer Ministries and you will be directed to the ministry leader.

  • MOMS:
    The purpose of this group is to bring together mothers of infant to pre-school age children to celebrate the Catholic family through faith, fellowship and charity. They meet once a month to plan activities within the group and parish. The leader of this ministry can be reached through the parish office.
    Parish Office Support: Volunteers are needed to assist with:
    Answering phones.
    Other miscellaneous office duties.
    Many opportunities to work on various special projects as they arise.
