Fr. Walter Watson, Parochial Vicar

Ordained in 1970, Father Watson taught at Regis High School through the 70’s and parish work wherever needed. Five years in two country parishes in southern Missouri was one major assignment, before an extensive pastoral term at Saint Joan of Arc, 1989 – 2005.

Deacon, John Pontillo

Deacon John Pontillo, has been assigned at Sts. Peter & Paul since 2002. He is the Director of Faith Formation for children and adults. Deacon John, in addition to his liturgical duties is responsible for directing the Religious Ed program for children as well as the RCIA & RCIC programs which educate and train adults and children wishing to become Catholics. He is Director of the Marriage Preparation Program and assists with the training of Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers and Altar Servers. Deacon Pontillo has an extensive background in Scripture and Theology and teaches continuing Adult Faith Formation classes including Bible studies. The Deacon and his wife, Edna, have one son named Christian. All three Pontillo’s are educators. Edna is an elementary school principal, Chris an elementary school teacher and Deacon John is a retired college professor.

Deacon, James "Jim" Wall

Spiritual Advisor to several parish ministries, visitations to nursing homes, and assists in liturgical services. Deacon Jim and his wife, Joey, have five children and numerous grandchildren.

Diana Maberry, Network Facilitator

Diana and her family have been parishioners since 1995. She is a wife and mother, both of her children are alumni to the school. She knows most of the parishioners which is a testament to her time and dedication to our parish. Diana hopes you will come by and allow her to properly welcome you. Contact Diana Maberry

Linda Melgares, Business Manager for Parish & School

Linda is a native of Colorado. She is a wife, mother and grandmother and has been a member of Saints Peter and Paul since 1993 and employed with the Archdiocese of Denver since 1997. Linda's roles include Finance, Human Resources, tuition and payroll. She has a hefty job and is always looking for volunteer help. Contact Linda Melgares

Charmie Kirby & Karin Kirby, Youth Ministers

Charmie was born and raised in Denver, and has two children, Matthew and Karin. She took an early retirement from the Postal Service after almost 25 years of service as a supervisor. Currently she is attending Heritage College and studying to become a Massage Therapist. She is a Extraordinary Minister, sings in the choir, and has been a parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul since 1997.

Karin grew up in Wheat Ridge and attended Arrupe Jesuit High School in North Denver. She is now a senior at Regis University studying Psychology. She plans to attend graduate school in hope of receiving her Master's degree and becoming a counselor. Karin brings her insight and experience working with youth as a retreat leader to this ministry team. Contact Charmie Kirby & Karin Kirby



Julie Plouffe, Director of Liturgy and Music

Julie is a life-long member of Saints Peter and Paul attending our school and singing in the choir at a very early age. In the role of Liturgist and Director of Music Julie conducts and selects music for all the liturgies which involves coordinating the essential elements that comprise the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and all of the liturgies of the church i.e. Rosaries, Benediction, Penance services, grief ministry, bereavement luncheons and prayer services. Joelle Pacheco, Stewardship Facilitator

Joelle and her family have been parishioners since 2004. The moment they came to Sts. Peter and Paul they knew they found their home. Joelle has been an active teacher in the Religious Education Program for the past 6 years. She is also a Lector for our parish. She and her family love the Lord and hope that they can help bring enthusiasm to their parish family. Contact Joelle Pacheco

Betty Willis, Visitation Ministry

Betty Willis, a long time member of Sts. Peter & Paul, directs Extraordinary Ministry to the homebound along with 33 volunteer Extraordinary Ministers. She coordinates the visitation ministry program in addition to personally visiting nursing homes, hospitals and homebound. Contact Betty Willis
